BootayBag Is Celebrating Being All Kinds of Beautiful

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

A couple weeks ago, I was contacted by a brand that at first glance seemed like it was too good to be true.

They wanted to send me products in exchange for promotion on my social media.

I had seen their name and posts being made about them steadily throughout the months but knew of no one close to me that actually had experience with them.

After I took a closer look at their brand and the community of women that were representing it, I decided to give them a shot.

That brand is BootayBag

The first place I looked at for reference was their Instagram.

With more than 165,000 followers, it was clear that they were keeping up an established online presence.

One thing that I noticed right off the bat was the incredibly diverse range of women they put on their profile.

There were all different skin colors, body sizes and a refreshing lack of retouched images.

I felt like if I were a consumer looking to purchase from this brand, it wouldn’t feel like I was competing or trying to emulate an image of perfection.

I’d just be a girl, happy to have a comfy addition to my underwear collection.

The overall vibe seemed to be celebrating and honoring body positivity and inclusivity, which is a tough image to find in this short of industry.

Their products have a wide range of colors, styles and fits, which led me to click on their website link.

On their website, I was able to find out more about their mission.

Not only do they deliver two new pairs of underwear to your doorstep for $13 a month, but for every pair bought, they donate to a women’s shelter.

In total, 200,000 new pairs of underwear have been given to women in need, and the number will only increase.

They are involved with The Undies Project and started donating towards that cause in May of 2018.

Their process goes as follows: You have the option of getting one pair ($9) or two pairs ($13) a month for your bag.

Then you choose the amount of coverage they will have that can easily be changed month to month.

From there, you are set to go! For my bag, I was given a mix of cheeky and thong-style underwear.

Additionally, you can also shop their bralette section. With all options less than $20, it’s easy to create a little set with any pair you get.

My experience

After looking and doing all the proper investigations, I must admit that I was rather impressed.

I would never endorse a mission or a product that didn’t align with my values or advertise something that didn’t live up to its hype. However, this blew my expectations out of the water.

Even though I didn’t have to pay for the shipping, it came within two weeks right to my dorm mailroom.

As soon as I felt the material, there was no going back. Softest. Thing. Ever. I loved the mix of styles, and it felt like clouds were hugging me.

Although I had my doubts about this being an Instagram fad product, it checked all of my boxes for something I would actually integrate into my everyday life. It is cost-effective and benefits people outside of the business.

I recently wrote an article about 10 unique ways you can spread kindness for World Kindness Week, and I feel like I already hit number 10 with supporting this product.

If you’re in need of some new intimates that envelops the charitable, cost-effective, and convenient aspects, I truly could not recommend this brand more.
