So (as if this is breaking news), I am hereby making a public statement that I have an obsession with books. There’s nothing quite like buying books, reading about books to buy, and looking at books… OK, I guess you get the picture. In this post, I’ll show you my favorite book-inspired items that I’ve come across throughout my time as a self-confessed bookworm.
Kate Spade Book Clutches, $325.00 via KateSpade.com
Wait, is this really happening? These are fabulous. I can just imagine rolling up to Midtown with The Great Gatsby holding my iPhone and lip stain while my friends look on with both jealousy and embarrassment. Guys would see me and be like, “Who’s the chick who thinks she’s at Library West?” Whatever, I think these clutches are the epitome of class. I’ve also seen pieces similar to this Kate Spade version on Etsy —what a fun idea!
Hamlet Unisex Sweatshirt, $42.00 via OutOfPrintClothing.com
Haven’t you always wished you could wear your favorite novel? Good, I’m glad I’m not alone. I found this website a few months ago via Pinterest and felt like I had literally won the lottery — like I found a four-leaf clover while sitting in a pot of gold as I saw a shooting star. I haven’t ordered anything yet, but that’s only because I change my mind about what I want to order every single time I go to check out. Below are a few of my favorite items. By the way, my birthday is in November.

For Whom The Bell Tolls Shirt, $28.00 via OutOfPrintClothing.com
The Great Gatsby iPad Cover, $45.00 via OutOfPrintClothing.com
Barnes and Noble “Nine Lives” Red Multi Tote Bag, $16.95 via Barnes and Noble
Not only is this bag hilarious, but it’s also extremely functional for those long trips to and from Library West. Plus it’s funny to have people stare at you in the line at Starbucks when they realize that you’re carrying around a bag that has cats dressed as famous authors on it. Shout out to the best roommate ever, Lauren, for including this as one of my 21st birthday presents. It’s purrfect.
I hope that this post makes you want to buy some book-inspired paraphernalia. Then, and only then, can you be considered a true bookworm.
