7 Spring Outfit Combos for Your Inner-Fashionista

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

If you haven’t heard of it already, there is this wonderful website called Polyvore that lets you design, save and show off various outfit designs. Polyvore is also a great way to build inspiration for your style by searching through the creations of other fashionable users. After combing through the cobwebs in my brain, I finally remembered my password to the site after six years. I thought it would be a great tool to utilize when planning future design combinations, especially for the upcoming seasons.

Picnic Lunch

Grab a blanket and find a shady spot for this springtime outfit. Trendy jeans, a breathable top and a stylish hat are a great trio for park picnics. Gingham is a staple pattern for picnics, so why not pay homage to it by slipping on a pair of gingham mule sandals to complete your look?

Lake Day

Pastels, including this baby blue color, are a classic choice for the spring season. The low straight-cut design in one-piece swimsuits is an upcoming trend to watch out for as the months get warmer and more suitable for swimming. Top if off with a simple yet cute baseball cap, sandals, sunglasses and of course plenty of sunscreen.

Comfy and Cute

Whether you’re commuting to class or simply roaming around on campus, this is a great combination to have in mind for those busy school days. Stylish yet ergonomic sandals, a comfortable camisole, jean shorts and a cool backpack make the look. If you want to feel extra cute, put on a pair of trendy earrings to round out the aesthetic.

A Day at the Farmers Market

A flowy dress and a pretty sun hat are the perfect complements to a sunny morning out at a farmers market. The heels shown are for aesthetic purposes, but if you think you feet will get tired you can always substitute them for some comfy fashion sneakers or low-rise wedges.

Exploring Downtown

Look stylish while discovering the unique shops and restaurants that downtown has to offer. A short sleeve shirt, flouncy skirt and sneaker combination will give you the comfort and style you desire, while a fashionable backpack will hold your camera so you can take a variety of memorable photos documenting your adventure.

Wining and Dining

This is a great outfit combination when you’re thinking of a fun night out with you and your squad. The jewel tones are a great transition for the night time, and the style is laid-back enough for eating at a hip restaurant or drinking casual cocktails (for those of age, of course).

An Evening Out

For a more formal evening occasion, black is the go-to color when you want to look classy and put-together. Add in a pretty pastel watch and some simple, elegant jewelry to create a sophisticated combination with a seasonal twist.

I might be a little biased, but spring is definitely my favorite season for putting outfits together. Pastels and floral prints consist of a large portion of my wardrobe, so it makes getting ready easy. If you’ve ever wanted to get some major outfit inspiration, then I suggest you check out sites such as Polyvore that help you create winning combinations for every season and occasion.
