16 GIFs That Sum Up Your Halloween Horror Nights Experience

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

There’s no better way to get your Halloween on than going to Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights. If you happened to visit this terror-filled event before it ended on Nov. 1, your night was probably filled with horrifying haunted houses and scare zones that left you shaking. Mind you, this experience is not for the faint of heart. Here are some common reactions to all the horror that perfectly sum up the HHN experience.

1. At first, you think it all seems like fun and games. But it doesn’t take long for you to realize you’ve stepped into a terrifying trap of petrifying doom.

2. Five minutes can’t go by without you being scared for you life.

3. You think you’ve outsmarted the process and decide to just hide your eyes.

4. But in reality, you’ve just made yourself a moving target to all the zombies in a five-foot radius.

5. You try to make your friends go first through the haunted houses because there’s no way it’s going to be you.

6. But no one is brave enough, so you all cling together to try to maintain some sort of sanity.

7. And afterwards, you all make fun of whoever screamed the loudest.

8. Inside the houses, things jump out and scare you from all directions.

9. So you just tend to look like this:

10. Or this:

11. Halfway through the evening, you’re not sure you can do this anymore.

12. It never ceases to amaze you how close the scarers get to you.

13. As you sprint through the scare zones, there is only one thing going through your head:

14. In order to make it out alive, you and your friends just run for your lives.

15. Once you’re home, going to bed is just like:

16. The fear you experienced will stay with you for a few days. You’ll be afraid to turn corners or enter a dark room, expecting someone to scare the living daylights out of you once again.

All in all, there’s no denying it was a night of pure terror. Maybe next year you’ll give your heart a break and try Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween.
