October is coming to an end. For the rest of the world, this means cozy sweater weather, delicious chai lattes, and spooky Halloween adventures. For UCSD collegiettes, the end of October signifies the start of midterm season. Life doesn’t stop when midterms come around so make sure you stay on top of your studies, extra-curricular activities, sports, partying, and relaxation time by using Her Campus UCSD’s favorite organizational app, BAND.

My favorite way to use the BAND app is to form study groups with peers. BAND members can share documents, plan meetings, create to-do lists, and even contribute to a master calendar, which reminds members when each assignment is due or when study groups are meeting. The app also saves any material you’ve already posted, so when finals come around, you will have all of the study materials ready to go! This means less searching for you, and more time for fun (or sleep).

Out of BAND’s many features, my favorite is the photo-sharing feature.  Members can upload up to 100 photos at a time and organize pictures into specific albums. Talk about efficiency! As tiring as studying for exams may be, make the studying experience exciting by snapping a few selfies with your study group. When you look back on these memories, you won’t be thinking about the countless hours of studying you did, but rather on the new friendships you made.

She also loves comedic shows like New Girl and The Big Bang Theory, but also enjoys thrillers like Criminal Minds. One of Jasmine's favorite hobbies is trying foods of different cultures; she loves visiting cultural nights and community festivals. Above all, Jasmine worships Beyonce (a.k.a. Beysus, Queen Bee, Baeyonce, etc). Her future aspiration in life is to become the Secretary of Education and have the Hov and B over for dinners.
