Her Campus at UCSD is so proud to have an alumna who can inspire our dedication and persistance in acheiving lofty goals. Julie Ertel was an undergraduate student here, and went on to play water polo in the 2000 Olympics, winning a silver medal! She also took 19th place in a triathon at the 2008 Olympics! Julie is an inspiration to us at Her Campus because of her athelticism, dedication, and focus. We love that she has such a passion for her sports, but that she also made time to go to college. She is a great model for the kind of women we aspire to be. We are so glad to have had an Olympian representing UCSD so well!
