1. Colour correcting-

Colour correcting changed my life. The way they work is the colours that are opposite each other on the colour wheel cancel each other out. Green corrects redness, yellow corrects dark eye circles, and purple corrects yellow undertones. NYX has a 3C colour-correcting cancel pallet that does the job just right.

2. Foundation-

I only really use foundation if I go out on a special occasion. However, on the rare occasion I do, the Charlette Tilbury one always satisfies. Always start with a primer! Dab, NOT rub from the inside out and go slow. You can always layer, but you never want your foundation to look too cakey. For days when you want a light fixture, mix bb cream with your moisturiser to give you that perfect glow.

3. Concealer-

My all-time favourite concealers are rare beauty and NARS. I use my concealer in the middle of my eyebrows, make a triangle right under my eyes, on the sides of my nose, moving upwards from the side of my lips, and on any other blemishes I have.

4. Setting powder-

Always set your face! I often use a light rose-setting powder, and there’s something about it I like more. However, using a transparent or one that matches your foundation works just right too. I use Maybelline’s setting powder daily, but I have tried Laura Mercier Translucent powder and LOVED it.

5. Bronzer-

I am sure you have heard of the new bronzing trick from Mary Phillips, where you put bronzer shamelessly and then cover it up with foundation after, and let me assure you, it works wonders. During the day, I always put bronzer in my eyelids and right below my under eye to make them pop but naturally. Benefit has the best-powdered bronzer, but Fenty Beauty’s is amazing if you want the stick one. Always remember to use 3 as your guideline.

6. Blush-

Go rare or go home! Rare beauty has the most beautiful liquid blushes. One little touch does the job. Mac’s powdered blushes are also excellent. With blush, I love putting some on my nose, forehead, and cheeks. I focus more on my upper checks and slowly blend into my whole cheek.

7. Highlighter-

There are a lot of great highlighters out there. With highlighter, the only trick is to put some on your nose, right above your lips on your cupids corner, inner corners of your eye, and right below your eyebrows.

8. Eyebrow pencil-

Always go a shade lighter. I use a brown pencil from KIKO Milano for my black eyebrows.

9. Eyeliner-

I have used a lot of eyeliners in my life, and honestly, none of them have disappointed me. As long as it’s smooth to apply, it’s great. The only trick with eyeliner is to know your eye shape. Always make sure your eyeliner compliments your eye. I use a black eye shadow for my water line, which works wonders.

10. Mascara-

Two-faced all the way! Use a little powder before your mascara to make them look super-duper long and voluminous. I often brush them out after.

11. Lips-

Use a brown pencil to line your lips and put transparent lip gloss. It looks amazing. If you like to overline your lips- https://poosh.com/how-to-overline-your-lips/ – that’s how I learned.

Lastly, don’t forget to use a setting spray. MAC cosmetics has a good one.
