I remember my dad giving me a book of black magic in high school. You may be surprised, but this is the same man that used to talk about Satan in order to get out of religion class in his boarding school days so he could get the afternoon off. It was an interesting book; my favorite part was the astrology section. There was a chart that took up a whole page detailing the colors, flowers, planets, Greek Gods, and tarot cards associated with each of the twelve astrological signs. Being a Capricorn, it was a little bit of a shock to see the Devil listed next to my sign. When I read up on it, though, it all made sense. Looking at your sign through the lens of tarot, you can see advice that the universe may have for you and see yourself in a whole new light. Listed below are the astrological signs and their tarot cards, I hope you find this as interesting as I did!

Aries: The Emperor

Don’t let this get to your head, Aries, but you are the Emperor within the tarot deck. Representing a very traditional idea of a leader, the Emperor is paired with Aries as a reminder to not let their passionate disposition devolve into being a power-hungry and controlling leader.

Taurus: The Hierophant

Hey, Taurus. You are associated with the Hierophant, reflecting your wisdom and good decision-making skills. This is a positive relationship, all the Hierophant has to say to you is that you already hold all of the answers within yourself, but only if you remember to look ;)

Gemini: The Lovers

Gemini, you are very poetically tied to the Lovers card. Geminis are notorious for their duality and are stereotyped as two-faced but I like to think of them as multi-faceted instead. This accurately represents the different sides to a Gemini; however, don’t forget to nurse each side equally!

Cancer: The Chariot

Tired of being labelled as a cry-baby? Well, here is your out. Your card, the Chariot, shows the determined warrior side of Cancer and serves as an indication to trust your intuition and stop letting obstacles determine your path.

Leo: Strength

Thought you would get the sun, didn’t you, Leo? Sorry to disappoint, but you are Strength within the tarot deck. This is because of your natural leadership skills; however, the card is also a warning to not let your head get so big that you can’t get your shirts on.

Virgo: The Hermit

Well hello there, Virgos, have you already reorganized your room for the second time this week? Not gonna lie, your association with the Hermit is very fitting. You do like your alone time; however, it is best to try and keep yourself above water. Don’t let your me-time turn into an unhealthy isolation from your loved ones.

Libra: Justice

My balanced Libras. You are associated with Justice due to your natural desire to search for the truth as well as your ability to somehow live a life of luxury on a budget. Justice reminds you to not let your tendency towards wrath to get the best of you. In other words, don’t sink to low levels to punish those who hurt you.

Scorpio: Death

I know this sounds horrifying. The Death card isn’t actually that bad so don’t worry! For Scorpios, who are passionate trailblazers, the Death card symbolizes your willingness to cut people off at the drop of a hat. See? Death of relationships, not people. Just try not to keep your guard up for too long or you’ll miss out on some new opportunities.

Sagittarius: Temperance

At first I was surprised by this one. Every Sagittarius description out there describes a flaky personality that will drop everything for an adventure. Temperance, in contrast, describes reserved balance. This tarot card association can only be calling Sagittarians out, pushing them to be more balanced and patient, and perhaps to think before leaping, too.

Capricorn: The Devil

Yeah, you’re the Devil but it’s really not that bad! Capricorns are super utilitarian, hard working, and straightforward. The Devil, which represents negative constraints that hold back the best self, is very fitting indeed. From one Cap to another, don’t allow your strong sense of duty to prevent you from enjoying your life!

Aquarius: The Star

Aquarians are gonna love this, being the Star. The *quirky* sign of the zodiac is paired up with the Star which symbolizes hope, renewal, and spirituality, embodying Aquarians’ never-ending efforts to reinvent themselves. The Star is also a reminder to stay grounded and have faith in your true self instead of trusting your current self too much.

Pisces: The Moon

Yes, Pisces, you get our one-of-a-kind icon of the sky in tarot card form! It’s not very good, though, as the Moon represents the Pisces inclination to let the imagination run wild and project fears and anxieties very loudly. Luckily, the Moon is also a reminder to feel your feelings and then let them go.
