These apps will help you try on makeup products so that you can find the right products that fit you.  You can do this without having to leave the comfort of your own home.

The first app we want to highlight is Cocoa Swatches.

This app is divided into three sections: eyes, face and lips. Under these sections, a model swatches each product on the app onto her arm and also applies it to her face so that you can see how the particular product looks. This is good if you want to see how a product that you’ve been eyeing will fit you without going to the store.

The next app we want to showcase is Sephora

Sephora has a section on their app under the get inspired tab called virtual artist. In this section, you can choose to do a product try-on which is where you look for that product you have had your eye on to try on such as one of the Huda Beauty lashes or Kat Von D’s new Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick.  The next thing you can do is try on one of the looks the makeup artists at Sephora picked out such as a halo holographic look. The last thing you can pick is a virtual tutorial where they show you how to achieve a look you desire such as a nighttime smoky eye.

The last app we want to highlight is YouCam Makeup- Magic Selfie Cam.

This app lets you try on makeup from different brands such as L’Oreal, Lancome and Nars. You can try on looks that are already created, such as ravishing which is a look that you could possibly wear on Valentine’s Day. You can also pick out a single product to try on such as Ardell Wispies Eyelashes.

Hi, I'm Briahna and I'm a fourth year at UCSB; majoring in anthropology. I'll start with a quote "it's never been true, not anywhere at any time, that the value of a soul, of a human spirit, is dependent on a number on a scale"- Geneen Roth. Sometimes in this big wide world I do feel small but I am reminded by this quote that I am much more than anything that can be measured by a scale, a grade point average or society standards of what a woman should be. My value is dependent by the standards I set for myself.
Hi, Collegiettes! I'm Carmen, a Communication major at University of California, Santa Barbara and one of two Campus Correspondents for UCSB. I would love to one day work in either fashion, food, tech, financial services or philanthropy. My dream is to find a job that somehow combines several of those elements. Until I get there, I'll be munching on copious amounts of Trader Joe's dried mango, jamming out to my man, Frank Sinatra, and focusing on creating intriguing content! If you like my writing, talk to me. ;)
