Oddly Satisfying Behaviors Only Girls Know About

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

Come on girls, we all know those oddly satisfying habits or behaviors that we secretly love…pore strips, face masks, slime, fidget spinners, just to name a few. Living life as a girl is not always easy but indulging in these oddly satisfying behaviors every once in a while makes it all worth it. These oddly satisfying behaviors/habits give us an inexplicable sense of satisfaction. Drum roll please… get ready for your senses to feel oddly satisfied.

1. Peeling off pore strips

It’s an unspoken secret how satisfying peeling off nose pore strips is. As you slowly peel off the pore strip, tiny oil beads stick to the surface and boy is it gross but oddly satisfying to look at. As satisfying as they are, don’t use pore strips too regularly as they can really dry out your skin.

2. Drawing your eyebrows perfectly on fleek

This is definitely on everyone’s list as getting a perfect, clean arch is not only satisfying but can even make your day. Waking up early for class in the morning but drawing your eyebrows immaculately with clean lines and definition would 100% leave you feeling satisfied.

3. When your period ends

Ok ok ok… but is this not the most satisfying feeling any girl gets? You know when your on the last day of your period and you just wanna laugh and giggle and paint rainbows and flowers all day? Yeah.. it’s definitely a yes from me.

4. Post shaven leg feels

What is more satisfying then feeling your smooth, moisturized and silky legs after they have been feeling stubbly and pokey. In fact, this feeling is so satisfying that we must ask all our friends and family to feel our legs and join in on the satisfaction after shaving.

5. Instagram videos (Slime & Dr. Pimple Popper)

You can often find me on either @DrPimplePopper or oddly satisfying slime video accounts after one of those nights that leaves you 30 accounts deep after an intense Instagram stalking session. You can scroll and tap and watch these videos for hours as they satisfy our sensations.

Hi, Collegiettes! I'm Carmen, a Communication major at University of California, Santa Barbara and one of two Campus Correspondents for UCSB. I would love to one day work in either fashion, food, tech, financial services or philanthropy. My dream is to find a job that somehow combines several of those elements. Until I get there, I'll be munching on copious amounts of Trader Joe's dried mango, jamming out to my man, Frank Sinatra, and focusing on creating intriguing content! If you like my writing, talk to me. ;)
