With dead week approaching, campus will soon be filled with people who rolled right out of bed to make it to class or the library on time. I know it’s challenging to care about what you look like when you are preoccupied with final projects, studying, and papers, but it doesn’t have to be this way. There are actually a few, easy ways to look cute for the last few weeks of class–after all, you never know who you may run into in between lectures and Starbucks trips!

Hair:

Sock Bun: Whether you use an actual sock or a mesh styler from a drug store, this hairstyle is super easy to do. In addition, sock buns look so much more polished than a knot of hair on top of your head. Sock buns keep your hair out of your face all day, without making you look lazy or messy.

Side Braid: This is another easy style, especially when your hair does not want to work with you. You don’t have to fight with your natural hair texture, and, best of all, it’s a style that looks best messy.

Headband: If a ponytail is absolutely necessary, why not push all of your hair back with a cute headband? It adds a little extra style, plus you get to have your bangs out of your face. Bonus points if it matches your outfit!

Cold-Weather Outfits:

Peacoats: This is my personal go-to style for early morning classes and the entirety of dead week. Why? Because nobody can tell what you are wearing under it. I’ve been known to wear all sorts of shirts and sports bra combos underneath a cute coat, but nobody needs to know that. It looks so infinitely better than a slouchy sweatshirt, and keeps you warm too!

Yoga pants/Leggings tucked into boots: I hardly ever have the desire to wear jeans, and the last thing I want to do during dead week is try to squeeze into a pair. To solve this problem, black yoga pants or leggings are the perfect choice of pants when tucked into a pair of boots and paired with a long sweater or a coat. You end up looking much more stylish than everybody else in their workout clothes and running shoes!

Warm-Weather Outfits:

Sundresses: If by some miracle it is warm during finals week, a sundress is the best way to go. Instead of trying to put together an outfit, a dress is nice and simple to throw on and head out. People will compliment you all day, even though you didn’t go to very much trouble getting dressed.

Dress well, test well, Gauchos! Good luck on finals!
