How To Achieve The “No Makeup” Makeup Look

How To Achieve The “No Makeup” Makeup Look

With the arrival of Spring in the next coming weeks, let’s say hello to a fresh, dewy complexion and goodbye to the dry, flakey skin we endured over winter. The ‘no makeup’ makeup look is coming in full force, making Spring all about enhancing our natural beauty. Let’s let our freckles and beauty marks shine through our makeup instead of covering them up. Here are some products you can use for a healthy, flawless look:

  1. A Good Moisturizer

Having a go-to moisturizer is one of the most important things you can have in your daily routine. Application in the morning and before bed at night makes sure your skin stays glowy and nourished 24/7. I recommend the Ponds moisturizer because it super affordable, does not have a heavy fragrance and really leaves the skin feeling amazing.

(2) A Light Concealer

It’s no lie that we still have some under eye darkness and blemishes that we want to cover and a light concealer is perfectly capable to do the trick. The Maybelline Fit Me concealer effectively covers all of those unwanted marks without being too heavy. Also, it is college budget friendly and easily accessible at any drugstore.

(3) Liquid Blush

Maintaining a dewy look is all about using more wet products and staying away from packing on powder. Instead of using a regular pressed blush, using a liquid blush really allows the product to melt into the skin and look very natural. Cloud paint from Glossier is super pigmented and only requires a couple of drops to cover your entire cheek and give you a natural flush.

(4) Liquid Highlighter

This next product is my secret to achieving beautiful, glowy skin. Sticking with the liquid product trend, using a liquid highlighter instead of a powder one really allows the ‘glow’ to look healthy instead of cakey. Using the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone on the high points of the cheeks, the middle of the forehead, the cupid’s bow, the bridge and tip of the nose gives the face a radiant looking complexion.

(5) Lengthening Mascara

The trick to achieving natural looking lashes is to not use any product that has a clumpy formula. I find that for a ‘no makeup’ look, it is better to use a mascara that is focused on lengthening rather than intensely darkening or volumizing one. The Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash mascara gives the lashes that fluttery look you want without being too heavy or clumpy.

(6) Tinted Lip Balm

Nothing says healthy more than nourished, rosey lips. A tinted lip balm is the perfect way to give your lips the nourishment they need while still giving them a pretty sheen. The Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment not only accomplishes all of that but also is packed with SPF 15 in order to keep your lips protected throughout the day.
