Fall Is Awaiting: Over The Knee Boots

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

The fall go-to fashion is in season again, the otk (over the knee) style has not been seized yet. Over the Knee boots can be paired with so many outfits whether you are dressing up (formally) or down (casually), and the boot is not to be underestimated. These boots are even being used in all seasons and for all reasons ranging from the real horse-riding use to the red carpet, as Queen Bey herself did in 2013 at the Met Gala. There are some must fashion styles that always pair effortlessly with the fashionable over the knee boots: 1. Skinny jeans (Fashion Nova jeans are a perfect fit, always); 2. Mini Dresses (and if you’re tall it looks even better); 3. Leggings; 4. Plaid Lumberjack-like men shirts; 5. Oversized tee’s and sweater dresses are to d-i-e for and last but not least skirts. The precautions to take it to make sure there is enough room and length in between dresses and skirts to showcase the shoe itself. The key to pulling this off is showcasing the boot not putting pieces that take away from the boots. Make sure you find a pair this season that makes the legs look sexy and remember to wear them whenever!

My name is Lexxus Edison, my most used nickname is Lexi. I am currently a junior at UCSB and I major in English. I am interested in writing and reading which is pretty bland to some considering I spend countless hours doing just that in my major.
Hi, Collegiettes! I'm Carmen, a Communication major at University of California, Santa Barbara and one of two Campus Correspondents for UCSB. I would love to one day work in either fashion, food, tech, financial services or philanthropy. My dream is to find a job that somehow combines several of those elements. Until I get there, I'll be munching on copious amounts of Trader Joe's dried mango, jamming out to my man, Frank Sinatra, and focusing on creating intriguing content! If you like my writing, talk to me. ;)
