The Cutest Heart-Shaped Foods for Your Valentine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and you may be scratching your head wondering what you’re going to give your special someone. Yes, you could give your Valentine jewelry or roses, but those tend to break the bank or wreak of unoriginality.

Give your Valentine the gift that leads right to their heart: give them the gift of food this Valentine’s Day. This isn’t any ordinary food item, it’s food shaped in a heart. Chick-fil-A, Krispy Kreme, California Pizza Kitchen, and Auntie Anne’s are all getting in the lovey-dovey spirit with special edition entrees and desserts for your boo. These are some ways to say “I love you” with food this Valentine’s Day. And if you’re lucky, maybe they’ll share with you.

1. Chick-fil-A Heart-Shaped Nuggets

Come by your local Chick-fil-A now until February 28th to pick up some chicken nuggets, cookies, and Chick-n-Minis in heart-shaped containers. Chick-fil-A has you covered with beautiful presentation and content inside that will have you and your bae’s mouths watering. This is a gift that you can enjoy before and after Valentine’s day, so you two can celebrate for days. Just don’t go on a Sunday. The nuggets come in a 30-count, Chick-n-Minis in a 10-count, and Chocolate Chunk cookies in a 6-count. Nuggets are the new red roses and nothing says ‘I love you’ like nuggets!

2. Heart-Shaped Pizzas

Pizza is a great inexpensive food that gets the job done. It’s about to get even better. Pizza chains all over are joining the wave of heart-shaped pizzas. Pizza Pie Eatery in Pasadena has a famous heart-shaped pizza that attracts sweethearts from all over. This pizza joint even adds heart-shaped pepperonis. California Pizza Kitchen will also be selling these seasonal pizzas. In the past, Pizza Hut Dominoes, and Papa John’s have done these specialty pizzas so be sure to look out for potential deals if you want to celebrate the holiday at home! The pizza looks good and tastes even better!

3. Auntie Anne’s BOGO Heart-Shaped Pretzel

Buy one pretzel at Auntie Anne’s and get one free this Valentine’s Day. These heart-shaped pretzels come in two flavors: original and cinnamon sugar. So if you’re a savory or sweet food lover, you and your Valentine will be covered. To get this deal, you’ll have to grab your offer on Auntie Anne’s site. Once you sign up for the free Pretzel Perks loyalty membership, you’ll receive an email on the 14th with your BOGO offer. “Share the love this season with salty or sweet Valentine’s Day pretzel treats,” said Meredith Wenz, Auntie Anne’s Director of Marketing. Be sure to plan ahead to take advantage of this sweet deal.

4. Krispy Kreme’s Valentine ‘Conversation Doughnuts’

Valentine conversation doughnuts are available now until Valentine’s Day at your local Krispy Kreme! These doughnuts are the classic Krispy Kreme recipe topped with pastel frosting and a lovey-dovey phrase in all caps like “be mine,” “all the feels,” and “crazy 4 u.” If words are hard for you, get these doughnuts to make it easier. They are self-explanatory and, most importantly, a delicious treat. If you end up getting these doughnuts, be sure to tag #SayItWithDoughnuts on Twitter and Instagram to share your experience with Krispy Kreme.
