If any library can make a person excited to study, it’s the new UCSB library. There are plenty of couches to nap on, cool new water refill stations, and of course places to study. After searching around, testing out all the couches, and accidently setting off one of those library security gates, here are the best study spots I found:
Study Cubes
Find these hidden cubes by walking through the book shelves in the sciences and engineering section on the 2nd floor.
Under the lights
If you are trying to get that perfect Instagram, this is the place to sit. #studying #notreally
The Collaboratory
Here you can connect your own laptop to the enormous monitors. So if you have ever wondered what writing an essay on a 85 inch screen would be like, here is your chance. Located on the 2nd floor, Mountain Side.
Group Study Spaces
There are both enclosed rooms and slightly open spaces with white boards that are perfect for group study.
Summit Café
The new and improved coffee cart.
The Arts & Architecture Room
Check out the cozy arm chairs and small tables with built in outlets on the first floor.
