7 Fall Songs That Aren’t About Christmas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

‘Tis the season to be jolly, right? No. Let’s be real for a minute, it’s barely December and yet all you hear anywhere you go is Christmas music. For those of us who feel it is way too soon to be listening to Christmas music, here is a list of some songs that will give you the perfect seasonal vibe without walking through a winter wonderland with Frosty the Snowman.

Autumn Leaves – Ed Sheeran

While not directly about the autumn leaves, this song will give you chills and have you feeling so ready for fall.

Sweater Weather – The Neighbourhood

This song is probably the most quoted song when it comes to cooler weather, so its place on the list is justified.

White Winter Hymnal – Pentatonix

The perfect harmonies in the song will have you feeling the mood of the season. Not to mention the snowy imagery in the lyrics make you want to bundle right up.

Let it All Go – Birdy

Not all fall songs have fall related words in the lyrics, fall music vibes sometimes come from songs that are as moody as the weather itself.

You Ruin Me – The Veronicas

The deep longing and pain in this song will equally mirror the way some of us feel about saying good bye to warmer weather.

Young and Beautiful – Lana Del Rey

Another chillingly wonderful song that mirrors our feelings about California in the fall.

The One That Got Away – The Civil Wars

More dark, beautiful harmonies and chilling tones to put you right in the fall mood.

These songs are best to listen to when snuggled under a blanket with some delicious hot chocolate. Enjoy!
