5 Santa Barbara Valentine’s Day Activities for Couples

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

It’s that time of the year again! Are you and your significant other still trying to figure out what you’re going to do this Saturday? Here are 5 awesome ideas.

1. Sunset Cruise

It doesn’t get any more romantic than watching the sunset. Why not watch it out on a boat? Santa Barbara Water Taxi offers one and a half hour boat rides with appetizers for $40 per person!

2. Take a Hike

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez Mountains, Santa Barbara is a place where you’re meant to be outdoors! What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than out and about with your significant other? Pack a picnic and enjoy this beautiful place we call home. Santa Barbara has many scenic hikes, but here’s a few of our favorites that are close by: Inspiration Point, Three Pools Beyond 7 Falls, and Cathedral Peak.

3. Spend a Day on State Street

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to finally get downtown and spend a chill day roaming State Street. With plenty of restaurants, movie theatres, and shops, there’s no way you could get bored. State Street is the perfect place to grab dinner and a movie!

4. Go to the Zoo

Is it just me or have you lived in Santa Barbara for a while and haven’t made it out to the zoo?! What a fantastic excuse to walk around aimlessly and hold hands all day…just saying.

5. Go Wine Tasting via Jeep Ride

If you’re over 21 and haven’t gone wine tasting, this is a must do! Explore Santa Barbara’s very own wine country and enjoy some delicious wine. Get picked up by a Jeep from your very own home and check out four different wineries – all for the price of $129 per person.
