It was difficult enough trying to navigate the campus as a freshman, and even as the years pass, you still need to occasionally pull up a map.

Our beloved Chancellor seems about as omniscient and wise as Dumbledore.

 

If you’re lucky, you will have at least one amazing professor who totally enlightens you and drastically changes your perspectives on the world.

 

Juxtapose this to the other ridiculous professors out there…

When you want some alone time with your significant other, but your roommate is just a few feet away.

Can you, like, leave?

You meet so many people during your time in college, the standard, “Hi, I’m ______, nice to meet you,” sounds exhaustingly robotic and redundant.

Gauchos are a social sort of people

The deluge of daily university emails and department notifications are neverending, but you can’t simply ignore them, because what if you accidentally overlook a crucial email from your professor?!

 

There will be times where you’re sitting in your 300-person lecture class, and you feel like the only student in the room who just doesn’t get it.

However, the College of Creative Studies is basically made up of Ravenclaw

 

Nothing feels as exhilarating as going to a sports game, decked out in school colors, to cheer on your home team.

Go Gauchos!

And finally, that bittersweet moment where you graduate with the rest of your class and leave your beautiful university behind…

 

But even then, you’ll know that UCSB will always be a second home to you, and that your extraordinary four years here will are unforgettable.
