With this year’s awards season back with a new sense of gusto and glamour, this year’s stars stopped at no expense to shine at the biggest awards show of the year: the Oscars. Ranging from chic Valentino gowns to sleek Gucci suits, many celebrities opted for bold elegance when walking this year’s red carpet. Let’s take a look at some Oscar looks that stunned on the runway this year:

Megan thee stallion

For her Oscars debut, Megan Thee Stallion stunned in a strapless blue gown with a high thigh slit. The look featured large, accentuated ruffles that trailed into a train fit for an Oscars gown. The sparkling fabric looked fabulous combined with her silver sandals by Stuart Weitzman. The rapper performed alongside the cast of Encanto for a performance of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” during the ceremony.

ZENDAYA

When does the queen not slay the red carpet?! After her stunning yellow dress look at last year’s Oscars, Zendaya has continued to impress. This year, her look featured a two-piece Valentino design fashioned with a silk collared top and long silver train made by Pierpaolo Piccioli himself. The look was topped off with an updo and Bulgari silver bangles. Once again, Zendaya’s elegance and immaculate sense of style have stunned the red carpet.

ariana Debose

Ariana DeBose was a vision in red on the Oscars red carpet. The actress chose a Valentino three-piece pantsuit look alongside De Beers jewelry. Her look featured tailored pants paired with a long half cape draped across her elbows and lower arms. The entire design screams Oscar winner, which DeBose later won for her best-supporting actress role as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. The actress has continued to show her exquisite fashion style as she has made a stunning debut this awards season.

Timothée chalamet

Timothée Chalamet came to the oscars ready to slay. The actor made a fashion statement in a Louis Vuitton fit perfect for the red carpet. The two-piece suit featured a sparkling black cropped jacket from the Spring/Summer 2022 women’s collection. The best part? He arrived shirtless. Chalamet made a bold fashion statement at the event by arriving with no shirt, a subject of much discussion amongst the fashion community. Either way, his combination of silver jewelry with the stunning sparkling black fabric made a splash.

SIMU LIU

Rather than opting for the traditional, boring black tux look that many actors choose for the red carpet, Simu Liu went with a bright red tux look from Versace. When asked about his choice of suit, Liu said Donatella Versace herself recommended he debut this stunning ensemble on the red carpet. After his breakout role in Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings, Liu has been killing it during awards show season.

Jessica Chastain

After winning an Oscar for Best Actress for her role portraying Tammy Faye, Jessica Chastain debuted her new glam at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in a stunning green gown. The strapless green satin look was the perfect look for an Oscar winner, and Chastain’s red hair paired perfectly with the bright green. Her earlier look for the Oscars ceremony was a stunning shade of light pink sparkling fabric with a trim of feathers on the bottom.

BEYONCE

One word: goddess. Beyonce has set the standard for award show looks for years, and this year’s Oscars were no exception. Queen B debuted three different looks at this year’s Oscars for the red carpet, her performance and her afterparty with Jay-Z. This yellow strapless gown with elbow-high gloves and a flaring cape train was absolutely FABULOUS. It was by far my favorite look of the night, and everything about it screams Oscars. Beyonce never fails to put a smile on my face with her beauty and flare.

Despite the drama and controversy surrounding this year’s Oscars, many celebrities stepped out in their absolute best to stun on the red carpet. In a celebration of film and art, this year’s Oscars featured some of fashion’s best designs as viewers were treated to a variety of authentic looks and pieces featuring some of fashion’s best designers.
