Rising Artist Lennon Stella Impresses With 2 Nights At Fonda Theater

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

Lennon Stella is a 19-year-old actress and singer from Canada. She began her career on the hit TV show, Nashville in 2012, with her sister Maisy Stella. The two sisters played the characters of Maddie Conrad and Daphne Conrad for the entire 6 seasons of the show. Throughout her early career, Lennon and her sister Maisy performed covers on their YouTube channel, gaining over 100 million views. The two have gone on to perform at the White House, CMA Awards and shows across the world. They have even created their own book!

Later into 2017 and 2018, Lennon saw more success in her songwriting career as more of her songs were featured on Nashville. In 2018, Lennon launched her solo career by signing her first record label deal with RECORDS. After releasing her debut EP, “Love, me” in November 2018, she began gaining traction on the charts.

On Wednesday, April 3rd, Lennon Stella took the stage for two nights at the Fonda Theater. With one of the smoothest and best voices I have heard live, Lennon’s beauty, soulful voice and catchy music stole the night. Lennon performed some of her hit songs including “Bad,” “Feelings,” “Breakaway” and “Fortress.” She also impressed the crowd by performing an acoustic version of her song “Polaroid” which features Liam Payne and Jonas Blue. She also gave an acoustic cover of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” The crowd was delighted when Lennon brought out her sister, Maisy Stella to perform a cover of “Kids” by MGMT. Lennon closed the night with her more upbeat songs “Bitch” and “La Di Da.”

This rising artist is definitely one to look out for. Check out her EP on music streaming sites and catch a show on her current North America tour. Additionally, Lennon Stella will be joining The Chainsmokers and 5 Seconds of Summer on their upcoming North American fall tour.
