Review: Candy Cocktails & Special Sundaes at Sugar Factory

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

The Sugar Factory is known for housing the BEST sweets and treats, so no Vegas trip is complete without visiting one of the two Sugar Factory locations near The Strip.

The adult candy shop and restaurant has a unique menu with over 30 unique candy themed cocktails and goblets. Their famous goblets is essentially a huge cocktail good for two to four people.

The best part about the Sugar Factory is the presentation of the food and drinks. Everything is very aesthetic, especially their goblets which are essentially made in front of your eyes. The waiters bring an empty glass filled with regular and dry ice and various candies. They then slowly pour the drink into the glass cup which reacts due to the dry ice in the drink. The entire process looks like they are creating a magic potion of some sort.

We ordered The Watermelon Patch Goblet and the Lollipop Passion Goblet. Both were amazing and can be prepared with or without alcohol. The Watermelon Patch Goblet had a watermelon flavor, with rum, vodka, and watermelon sour patch kids. The Lollipop Passion Goblet is their signature drink and included mixes of melon, coconut, and pineapple.

We also tried out their huge Carmel Sugar Daddy Cheesecake Milk Shake, which included a whole slice of cheesecake, a lollipop, and a sugar daddy candy on top of the drink.

We ended our meal with the World Famous Sugar Factory King Kong Sundae. The 24 scoop Sundae is “covered with Hot Fudge, Caramel and Strawberry Sauce, Sliced Bananas, Toasted Marshmallows, Reese’s Pieces, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Crushed Waffle Cones, Gummi Bears, White Chocolate Strawberry Shavings and Toasted Walnuts with Whipped Cream, Giant Lollipops and Sparklers on top!”

The King Kong Sundae looked so beautiful we did a whole photoshoot with it before we dug in. My friends and I really tried our best, but this really was a never ending bowl of ice cream. It’s great for a large group of people, especially if you are celebrating a birthday.

Overall, I highly recommend Sugar Factory for anyone with a sweet tooth, like me. While, I mostly focused on their sugary cocktails and deserts, they also have an amazing menu with salads, pastas, fish and more options.
