1. What are you looking forward to in 2016?
This year, I’m looking forward to graduating and taking my undergraduate experiences out into the real world. I’m looking forward to life beyond school. I’m looking forward to presenting myself to the world as an alumni of UCLA. In 2016, I’m looking forward to prosperity and, above all things, happiness.
2. What about UCLA do you love the most?
I love UCLA for given me an opportunity. I love UCLA for seeing something within this transfer student and allowing me the chance to become the first person in my family to graduate from a university. #BruinBornBruinBred #Bruin4Life
3. Who is your biggest motivator on campus?
Just like I am my hardest critic, I am my biggest motivator. I learned early on in my school career that whatever I do is what I have to do for me. Nobody is living my life but me.
4. In your free time, what do you enjoy doing?
In my free time, I truly enjoy relaxing with loved ones. There’s nothing more important to me than sharing bright smiles, painful laughs, and endulging in stimulating conversations.
5. What is your favorite quote and why?
I do not have a favorite quote. I have a favorite poem and that is “The Rose That Grew From Concrete” by Tupac Shakur. Not only does it teach the world about finding the beauty or good in people regardless of less than ideal circumstances, but it reminds me that nothing can stop me. This poem let’s me know that no obstacle is too great. Just like the rose that grew from concrete, I am my own rose overcoming any obstacles thrown my way.
