Going Out In Style: 7 Places To Buy Your Perfect Graduation Party Outfit

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

It’s graduation season, and that means one very important thing: an opportunity to buy a new outfit! Hot girls are educated and stylish, and if you are like me, you see every event as an opportunity to buy a new outfit. Is this a healthy mindset? We’re not getting into that! We’re focusing on that you are graduating, and you need to go out in style. If you are still struggling to find the perfect outfit for your graduation celebration, whether it be a photoshoot, a fancy restaurant, a backyard party or anything in between, this article has you covered. These shops will help you easily find unique, stylish pieces. Here are 7 shops that will have you looking like THAT grad:

Red Dress

Red Dress is one of the South’s biggest boutiques. Even though they are located right in Athens, Georgia by the University of Georgia, their pieces are far from stereotypical southern fashion. With new arrivals twice a day, there are hundreds of items on their website ranging from casual to dressy. Their price range is also fair with reasonably priced two piece outfits, dresses and ensembles that are between $30-$100. There is also a higher price if you are feeling like splurging on brands such as Love Shack Fancy. The website is easy to navigate and if you are looking for a specific color (like white), you can filter and see all the options. Even though there are countless clothes, I never feel overwhelmed in this closet.

Tiny Closet

Staying in the South, Tiny Closet is located in Alabama. Tiny Closet’s outfits are so cute they can give University of Alabama’s “Rush-tok” a run for its money. This store also has a very cute story as it started as a mobile-bus shop in a pink bus but now has a storefront. While their items fit all sizes and heights, this is especially a good shop for my girlies on the shorter side. However, do not fear my tall girls because I’m 6’1’’ and have successfully bought pieces from Tiny Closet. It’s a great option for everyone, just double check the measurements before buying anything (this applies to all shops).

Wight Elephant

Wight Elephant is another top boutique of mine. They just released multiple summer wedding pieces, but almost all the outfits can double as graduation celebration ensembles. This store was founded by a former Miss Pennsylvania USA, so you know the pieces have style (Miss USA is deemed one of, if not the most, fashion forward pageant system). They have pieces ranging from more minimalist to super extra, and I always look forward to seeing their weekly new arrivals.

Zara

Now I know I am making myself look really basic by adding Zara on this list, but don’t discount it just yet! Almost half, if not the majority of my wardrobe comes from Zara, and everyone always asks where I got my clothes from. Therefore, it’s very easy to get clothes from there and not look like a copycat or unoriginal. However, if you are obsessed with the famous tik tok dresses and pieces, wear those too, they are popular for a reason! Zara is especially great because they are in their spring-summer transition, and you can find a lot of great pieces on sale.

Lisa Dean

Every time I go to a Lisa Dean pop-up, I basically raid the store. Their clothes are extremely cute (another popular place among pageant girls), and very reasonably priced. They have everything from business casual pieces to casual yet trendy tops to cocktail dresses for a fun night out. This boutique is one of the pageant world’s best kept secrets, so you will definitely have an original but fun outfit if you shop from here.

Petal and Pup

If anything, I am a sucker for international brands, and Petal and Pup is one of them. Based in Australia, this store has pieces for very unique aesthetics such as soft girl or coastal grandma. They also almost always have a sale or coupon code. Their clothes are also extremely comfortable, and for international shipping, they arrive pretty quickly.

Francesca’s

An underrated store (rest in peace the Westwood Location). Yes, some pieces give the 2015-2016 Tumblr aesthetic, but there are some very nice hidden gems in this store. Francesa’s is definitely worth a look online and even better if you can find a store location. It’s a particularly great location for the girly girls and boho girls. Also, they have the cutest accessories if you have an outfit that just needs some spicing up.

Looking for clothes, especially for occasions like these, gives me a boost of serotonin, and nothing makes me happier when one of my friends says they found something at one of these stores. I hope you are able to find the graduation outfit of your dreams because you deserve to look like a million bucks. No matter what you wear, remember that it’s going to go great with your new hundreds of thousands of dollars accessory: your degree.
