Yes, yes we get it – finals week is ending which means we probably should’ve spent the week studying instead of surfing online. This was the week that sparked the widest range of emotions – one minute you can be utterly bored, the next in tears. After one rollercoaster of a week, Spring Break is the sweet relief. But during finals, we all have emotions that can get out of hand. This means the average college student’s journal might look a little something like this:
Saturday 10:31 am
Ugh finals! I’m completely dreading this.
Saturday 2:54 pm
Okay, I think I can do this. I’m determined to pass this class and I only need a 112% on the final.
Sunday 12:20 pm
Time to get motivated and get down to business. This is so easy, look at me speeding through this.
Sunday 4:12 pm
Okay, now it’s getting really overwhelming.
Sunday 8:54 pm
This is taking way too long. Can’t focus, need social media.
Monday 9:02 am
This is starting to feel pointless. Should I just give up?
Monday 3:17 pm
This is too much work. Should I change my major? Time to call my mom and cry.
Monday 9:41 pm
But there’s so much left to do. I feel like I’m being crushed from the inside, slowly.
Tuesday 2:11 am
Then all of a sudden you hate professors for making the test cumulative, yourself for not studying sooner, and science for not inventing knowledge osmosis.
Tuesday 9:38 am
Then at some point…nonchalance.
Tuesday 12:09 pm
Your brain is just dead, dull, and overworked.
Tuesday 1:56 pm
You just hang on to one last hope.
Good luck Bruins!!
