Campus Cutie: Zach D.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

Name: Zach D.
Year: 4th
Major: Business Economics

This week’s Campus Cutie has already put quite a few things on his resume. Aside from being in a fraternity on campus, he plays intramural sports, loves to watch football—especially the 49ers, produces movies, and has even been featured on an episode of MTV’s “Disaster Date” (from what I’ve heard…his episode is still up on www.MTV.com). We caught up with Zach to get his perspective on what being a Campus Cutie is all about.
If you ended up on TMZ because of a Vegas scandal, who would be the first person you told?Probably my mom..she is the only one I would trust to bail me out of jail. My dad would just let me spend a night there.

Craziest memory of your time at UCLA?J umping off the roof at Sunset Rec into DG’s Anchorsplash synchronized swimming philanthropy event in the pool. We got disqualified and ultimately banned from participating again.

Favorite pick-up line? Can I be your derivative? I’ll lie tangent to your curves.

Celebrity crush? Kate Upton

Do you have any groupies? An army of pledges.

Your best Halloween costume so far? Flava Flav two years ago. I just had this big clock and a room full of girls.

Nickname? Papa Doc

Weirdest place you’ve been hit on? Airport security line by the ID checker. Quite an experience.

She has a passion for journalism and loves being involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including doing research at the UCLA Brain Tumor institute, volunteering with Global Medical Brigades where she traveled to Ghana this past winter to provide health care to over 1,200 people, contributing to the Daily Bruin newspaper as a Video Reporter, and being a part of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Before becoming the Her Campus Campus Correspond for UCLA, she was a founding member of Her Campus UCLA and wrote a weekly health blog. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys exploring new restaurants and sites around Los Angeles, listening to country music, running (and training for half marathons…maybe a full one someday!), hiking, and spending as much time as she can at the beach!
