Where are you from? What is your major? What year are you at UCLA?
I’m from San Pedro, a small town next to Long Beach! I’m majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in theater. I’m a 4th year (prospective 5th year).
What extracurricular activities are you involved in?
I am involved in the HOOLIGAN Theatre Company, the Center for Excellence in Engineering and Diversity, and the Music Ministry at the University Catholic Center at UCLA. I also work at the Management Library on campus.
Where is your favorite place to study on campus?
My favorite place to study has to be at the Management Library! It has a glass window three stories high with a beautiful view of the trees outside which make for a great study environment.
What has been your favorite experience at UCLA so far?
My favorite experience at UCLA so far has been performing in the HOOLIGAN Theater Company. I’ve met some of my best friends and made my favorite memories in HOOLIGAN. There’s also no other way to be a sexy delivery man, a flamboyant pool boy, a cowboy, and a half naked hippie all within a year!
If you could travel through time, who would you want to meet and why?
If I could travel through time, I would want to meet Michael Jackson. People will remember him for years to come because of his sheer talent and ability to perform. I would love nothing more than to talk with someone that had such a great talent in their life.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any super power, it would be to control water like in Avatar: The Last Airbender. Yes, I know how corny that is, but I’ve always been interested in tai chi (the martial art form used when controlling water) and I’ve been around water my whole life!
Are there any other fun facts about you?
I finished Boy Scouts with the rank of Eagle! I love the outdoors and nature whether it comes to skiing, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, or swimming.
