Her Campus UCLA is looking for contributing writers, photographers, and bloggers to join our team! Her Campus, an online lifestyle magazine for college women, which has successfully established individual branches at over 190 universities nationwide, is now recruiting Bruins! Her Campus UCLA is a place for women of UCLA to get personalized information about what’s happening on campus. As a branch ofHerCampus.com, the content of Her Campus UCLA is written by UCLA students, and is a supplement to the national content of HerCampus.com that is created for college women everywhere.

As a member of the Her Campus UCLA staff, you will be writing UCLA specific-content for our six sections on the Her Campus UCLA webpage, including News, Campus Celebrities, Campus Cutie, a Spotted on Campus Photo Blog, Event, and a weekly Poll. You will be updating our social media sites, planning events, and coordinating with local businesses as well.

HerCampus.com is an online magazine for college women that individualizes its content college-by-college by establishing My Campus branches at schools across the country. With national content on Style, Health, Love, DormLife, Career, and World, supplemented by campus-specific content, Her Campus serves as a hub for everything college women need to know about today.

Her Campus is written entirely by the nation’s top college journalists. Since joining the Her Campus Team, our writers have been offered internships with the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) Intern Program and at Seventeen, Glamour, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, InStyle, Hearst Digital Media Teen Network (Seventeen.com,CosmoGirl.com, DonateMyDress.org), O magazine, Reader’s Digest, Details magazine, Us magazine, and Star magazine, among others.

Founded by three current Harvard undergraduates—Stephanie Kaplan ‘10, Windsor Hanger ‘10, and Annie Wang ‘11—Her Campus was a winner in Harvard College’s business plan competition, the i3 Innovation Challenge, in March 2009. Since Her Campus’s launch in September 2009, the site has been featured in The Boston Globe, U.S. News & World Report, seventeen.com, YPulse.com, Jezebel.com, The Chronicle of Higher Education,InsideHigherEd.com, and College Media Beat, among others.

Nicole Cremer is currently a sophomore at UCLA majoring in Neuroscience. She has a passion for journalism and loves being involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities, including doing research at the UCLA Brain Tumor institute, volunteering with Global Medical Brigades where she traveled to Ghana this past winter to provide health care to over 1,200 people, contributing to the Daily Bruin newspaper as a Video Reporter, and being a part of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. Before becoming the Her Campus Campus Correspond for UCLA, she was a founding member of Her Campus UCLA and wrote a weekly health blog. In her spare time, Nicole enjoys exploring new restaurants and sites around Los Angeles, listening to country music, running (and training for half marathons…maybe a full one someday!), hiking, and spending as much time as she can at the beach!
