Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish & Others Win Big At The 63rd GRAMMY Awards

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCLA chapter.

Music has been one of our most faithful companions throughout quarantine, and there was no better way to celebrate that than with the 63rd GRAMMY Awards. On Sunday, our favorite stars masked up, presented some amazing performances and reminded us just how much we miss live music. Talk show host and comedian Trevor Noah hosted the GRAMMY Awards this year. Harry Styles opened the show with a rendition of his pop hit “Watermelon Sugar,” while performances by other musicians followed, including Billie Eilish, DaBaby, BTS, Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion, Dua Lipa and many more.

Notable winners include Billie Eilish, whose album everything i wanted took home the award for Record of The Year, Taylor Swift, who won Album of the Year with her quarantine release folklore and Megan Thee Stallion, who won Best New Artist.

At the 2021 GRAMMYs, she received four additional awards: Best R&B Performance for “Black Parade,” Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl,” Best Rap Performance for “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion and Best Rap Song for “Savage” with Megan Thee Stallion. Beyoncé is now the most decorated woman in GRAMMY history with her 28 GRAMMY wins. Taylor Swift also broke a record on Sunday, becoming the first female artist to win Album of the Year three times.
