The tears, the heartbreak, the pain. To be living in a world like UCLA, there is no time to be moping around! Sure it seems like life is ending but if you have already come far without this special person, then you sure as can go even farther. Nothing cures a broken heart except time but here are 10 ways to make time fly. Don’t worry ladies, you will be back up on your feet in no time!
Â
- Girls Night Out: This is one of the most effective ways to get over your break up. Who needs time for boys when you have your girls by your side? Have a dinner party, go out into the beautiful village of Westwood, maybe even make your to Santa Monica and enjoy the amazing rides the pier has to offer. Make it a night that you will want to remember for years to come.
Â
- Study: Okay so maybe this doesn’t seem like a fun activity. However, you are in UCLA and your number one focus should be academics. As you study and do your homework, you won’t have time to be sad. Your mind will focus on the complex math or the 5 page essay but hey, that seems better than stressing over someone who did you no good.
Â
- Erase the Memories: Sure you can’t actually erase memories from your head but sure can delete them from your phone! It may be really hard as you want to hold on but think about it. Do you really want to hang on to someone who caused you so much pain? I don’t think so. Along with deleted the pictures and videos, delete his number! There will probably be temptation to reach out to this person but you don’t want to go back to someone who made you feel like a negative person.
- Keep Yourself Busy: Miss Busy Bee has too much on her plate in order to be grieving. Take up a hobby of your interest or even talk to someone about a topic you have genuine interest in. Maybe you could even work a project based off of your interests.
