It was a major hit especially for those that enjoy texture variation with their desserts. They also created the most creative way to eat a chocolate chip cookie; stuffed with cookie dough and sandwiched into one indulgent bite!

For our friends who have major dietary restrictions and allergies, never fear because Better Bites is here! We had the pleasure of trying their Chocolate Chip Chip DŌ Bites. The contrast of the crunchy, vegan chocolate shell with the creamy edible vegan cookie dough made for a rich and easy bite. This is certainly a crowd pleaser at the annual Her Campus at UCLA Galentine’s Day Party!

This is personally one of my favorite spots for dessert in Sawtelle. With their extensive and always changing menu you will always be surprised with their creative treats like gooey Ube bread pudding or their Halo Pressed ice cream sandwhiches! This powerhouse bakery has created cakes for major celebrities. One of the most notable customers to date was Kim Kardashian when she ordered a 10-tier cake from the establishment. Although celebs shell out a lot of money for custom cakes Hansen’s remains my favorite affordable sweet secret. You can get gourmet cupcakes and cannolis for just a dollar each. And if you would rather have dinner before indulging then swing by any of the Ethiopian resturants down the street from the bakery!

Milk Bar is known for their extensive and creative list of cookies! Every cookie has a cake-like consistency that gives a perfectly chewy bite every time. Some fan-favorite flavors are good old fashion chocolate chip, rocky road and birthday cake. You’ll have a hard time resisting leaving with just one cookie.

Any student that attends UCLA knows that Diddy Riese cookies are the most reliable mood-boosters in Westwood. Since 1983 this cookie establishment has sold countless cookies with classic flavors ranging from chocolate chip to sugar cinnamon you can’t beat the original! With an order of a dozen cookies being priced at just $5 it certainly helps that the demographic is broke and hungry college students.

If you have ever been to Afters then you understand just how addicting this ice creamery can be! Their creations are so unique and on point in terms of the flavor profile. They are known for only putting out the best quality products and their loyal customer base proves that it works! One of their best creations is known as the Milky Bun which two scoops of any ice cream of your choosing, sandwhiched between a warm, glazed donut.

If you are a LA native or frequent Postmates user then you have definitely come across advertisements and Instagram pictures of Sweet Lady Jane’s famous Triple Berry Cake. Aside from serving the cake to the fantastic Laura Dern after she won her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, the bakery has been serving up quality treats since 1988! Aside from mouthwatering cakes the establishment also doubles as a cafe where you can enjoy light sandwhiches and sides before indulging in assorted desserts like lemon bars and cherry pie.

This wouldn’t be a top dessert list without featuring Magnolia Bakery which is famous for their delectable banana pudding. This adorable bakery originated in New York City in 1996. Since then they have earned their place as a popular spot for comfort sweets. Their products never fail to fill your heart with warmth and flavor of course. We are definitely grateful for the company expanding to the west coast. This way everyone can get their hands on their delicate cupcakes and flaky pies.
