The first game of the season is quickly approaching and I could not be more excited for UCF football. As a senior, I know the Knights can be great. I witnessed Blake Bortle’s epic season and watched my school win the Fiesta Bowl- and who could forget JJ Worton’s epic game winning catch that season…
After that year, we won our conference again and things were looking good for the Fall 2015 season. Now, it’s no secret last season did not go so well. Even though we lost, a lot… (every game) I still had fun tailgating with friends and family. Besides the partying aspect, tailgate is also a great way to bond with friends and meet a lot of new people. We still proved that we can lose with style, and that we’re still better than USF. Despite how young we are, UCF is one of the most popular universities in Florida. There’s no denying it.
Things can only go up from here, and I know that because I’m already obsessed with the new head coach, Coach Frost.

There are a lot of reasons to be excited about this season, and he’s certainly one of them. He has a lot of pressure on him to pick this team back up and try to prove to conference presidents that we are worthy of being a part of the Big 12. Going from the worst to the best seems like a long shot, but it wouldn’t be UCF’s first football miracle. We’ve done it before and I believe we can do it again. Our veteran players are ready; our new recruits are excited because this is our time. Knight fans can help, and quite honestly Knight fans are 100% necessary to make a comeback season possible. I’m sure the team wasn’t pumped up to see and empty stadium toward the end of the season. Not to mention the fans that actually showed tended to put bags over their faces.

We have to actually go to our FREE football games while we can. The team has been working hard all summer, so it’s time to show our school spirit. Have fun at tailgate, but make sure you make it to the games and enjoy cheering on our Knights! Knightro will be there with you to help pump you up. Fall is the best time of year with football, cooler weather, and I guess those basic pumpkin craving dates are cool too. It’s time to live up our short time in college and show off our UCF pride, because it’s our time to shine!
