Finals week is coming to an end, which means it’s time to kick back and enjoy your winter break! If you aren’t headed to Miami for Art Basel this weekend, here are some local events that might make your stay-cation a bit more enjoyable.
Friday 12/6:
Big Box of Orlando Holiday Pop-Up Shop – This event runs both Friday (6pm-12am) and Saturday (10am-10pm). Don’t miss out on this thrifty couple of days! Over 20 vendors will be out selling their awesome goods. Various food trucks including La Empanada will be there to satisfy your cravings and, as always, there will be plenty to drink! $10 admission on Friday and $5 admission on Saturday.
Ladies’ Art Lounge at the Art and History Museum of Maitland – Calling all Pinterest fanatics! Grab your girlfriends and head over to Maitland from 5:30pm to 7:30pm for a glass of wine and some DIY fun just in time for the holidays! $25 admission.
Holiday Lights Orlando at Lake Eola – From 4pm to 10pm, gather around beautiful Lake Eola and get your spirits high by lighting up a Christmas tree! There will be live performances and food for all attendees. Free to the public.
Saturday 12/7:
Orlando Pottery Festival at Loch Haven Neighborhood Center – It’s time to push aside that old mug that you have in your house and make room for some festive decoration! Over 50 vendors will be selling their pottery, sculptures, bowls, and more between 9am and 5pm. Snag one before they’re all gone! Free to the public.
15th Annual Leadership Winter Park Breakfast Pancake Breakfast – Enjoy a whole hearty breakfast and support a great cause that benefits Winter Park elementary schools! $6 per person.
Sunday 12/8:
Orlando Meet & Greet at the Acre – This one is for all you aspiring/current models and photographers! From 2pm to 5pm, take the initiative to network and collaborate amongst other young professionals! Prices vary, so make sure to check the event page for more information.
Fashion Square Mall Art Show – Support your local artists in downtown Orlando from 9am to 6pm! Free to the public.
