Lions and tigers, and BEARS GO KNIGHTS! Knightro will have to learn how to share the spotlight because today, UCF Police Department alerted us about the newest mascot, A BROWN BEAR! According to the UCF Alerts, the bear was seen today near Knights Plaza. All jokes aside, today we were reminded that a bear is a wild animal. Although we have many different types of wild life on campus, it is important to protect ourselves. Here are some tips that will help you stay safe if you come in contact with a bear.
- DO NOT feed the bear.
- DO NOT startle the bear.
- If you are close to the bear stay standing.
- DO NOT make eye contact.
- Find a safe place indoors.
