Attention! If you enjoy music, TV shows, or movies (duh, we know you do), then prepare to have your life changed. How could this article possibly change my life, you ask? Well, you’re about to have access to even more movies, TV shows, and music for only $4.99 per month!

Disclaimer: Her Campus does not advocate unhealthy binge watching or listening, please read on at your own risk.

Spotify

This magical media access all begins with subscribing to Spotify with the student discount. For those of you that already have a Spotify subscription through iTunes, you will need to cancel that subscription and wait until your current subscription expires in order to subscribe with the student discount rate. For anyone who doesn’t currently have a Spotify subscription, your first step is to go to the Spotify website and create an account. You will then want to sign up for the Spotify Premium Student Discount subscription. Along with this, you will be able to gain access to Hulu and Showtime movies and TV shows – free of cost! You can set up these additional subscriptions through your Spotify account by going to your account/profile in the top right-hand corner of the website then down to theYour Services tab on the left-hand side.

Hulu

Hulu offers a personalized watching experience. When you first set up your account, it will ask you about your genres of interest and give you suggestions for movies and TV shows once you’re ready to start watching. In addition to their original projects such as East Los High, Freakish, and A Handmaid’s Tale, Hulu provides access to other popular cable shows such as American Horror Story, Family Guy, and Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Hulu’s spectrum of shows is super broad and it’s guaranteed that there’s a show or two for everybody to enjoy available for streaming.

Similar to their TV shows, Hulu offers a variety of great movies to watch including Baywatch, Billy Madison, and I, Tonya. The movies are organized into convenient categories like “Family Films” and “90s Binge.” There is even a category filled with exclusive Hulu movies that are definitely binge-worthy.

Showtime

Showtime is an absolute godsend and the fact that it’s offered to us college kids for free makes it a million times better. Obviously, you’ll be able to watch Showtime originals with this subscription like The Chi, Homeland, and Shameless, but you also have access to Showtime Live TV. With the option to watch new episodes live or on the Showtime website the day after they air, you have no excuses to be missing your faves.

Movies are also available on Showtime. With ten different movie categories, it’s impossible not to find a film of interest. Some of the movies available on Showtime include All I See is You, Baby Driver, and Bad Moms. Those three movies alone sound like they would make for a perfect night in!

Showtime’s vast variety of content continues in their final three streaming categories: Sports, Comedy, Reality/Docs, and After Hours. There’s not much else to say, Showtime clearly has it all. You can also check up on what’s going to be added to Showtime in the Coming Soon category. Convenience is key.

Let’s face it. Between Spotify, Hulu, and Showtime, we have enough media content to keep us busy until well after grad school. If you’re going to get anything out of this article, let it be this: endless amounts of music, TV shows and movies for $4.99 a month, and all you need is to subscribe using your student email address. What a time to be alive…and in college!
