A new season of The Traitors is just around the corner, and one thing I’m looking forward to more than Alan Cumming’s outfits is this star-studded cast. The new season is set to drop sometime in 2027; Peacock is keeping the exact date under wraps. But let’s talk about this cast: reality TV icons, superstar athletes, actors, musicians, you name it. This cast feels like it was picked out of a hat.
Twenty-three familiar-faced contestants will work together on exhilarating missions to build a prize pot that is worth up to $250,000. The Faithful will be “murdered” one by one in a treacherous spree while they try to uncover who the Traitors are and banish them from the game. The Traitors will aim to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves. If the Faithful banish all the Traitors, they will share the prize pot. If a Traitor makes it to the end, they will take all the money.
You can feel the tension in the air before anyone even walks through the castle doors. This season’s lineup is full of surprises, and every single person is going to be tested in ways they never expected. Social skills, strategy, and the art of deception will take center stage.
Reality TV Stars: Competition
I always keep my eye on competition reality stars. They know how to build alliances, read a room, survive a vote, and pull off huge moves—all while the cameras are rolling. It’s like second nature to them. This group includes:
- Taylor Hale – Big Brother
- Jag Bains – Big Brother
- Michele Fitzgerald – Survivor
- Q Burdette – Survivor
- Rachel Robinson – The Challenge
- Joey Graziadei – The Bachelor
- JaNa Craig – Love Island USA
This group is loaded with reality competition pros. If you’ve watched Big Brother or Survivor, you know these people live for blindsides and catching someone in a lie. But The Traitors is a different beast. Being a strategic player could make you the Faithfuls’ secret weapon, or it could paint a giant target on your back. There’s no way to know until the game starts.
Reality TV Stars: Lifestyle/Social
Then there are the reality stars who aren’t used to competition, but know all about surviving in messy social circles. Honestly, that skill might be just as important once you’re inside the castle walls.
- Bianca Del Rio – RuPaul’s Drag Race
- Whitney Leavitt – The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
- Craig Conover – Southern Charm
- Cynthia Bailey – The Real Housewives of Atlanta
- Gizelle Bryant – The Real Housewives of Potomac
- Bronwyn Newport – The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
If the Housewives universe has taught us anything, it’s that these women know how to question a story when something doesn’t add up. Add Bianca Del Rio to a roundtable with Cynthia, Gizelle, and Bronwyn, and keeping a lie straight could become a challenge all on its own.
Actors and Musicians
Not everyone walking into the castle is a reality TV veteran. This season, we’re getting performers who are used to scripts, stages, and big audiences instead of confessionals and alliances.
- Kristin Chenoweth – Actress and singer
- Dominic Monaghan – Actor
- Cody Simpson – Singer
- Johnny Sibilly – Actor
Actors might have a real edge in a game built on deception. Their whole job is convincing people of something that isn’t real. But will that help them spot a Traitor, or make them even better at hiding as one? That’s the big question.
Athletes
Physical challenges are just one part of The Traitors, but this group? They’ve got the competitive drive to handle anything the game throws at them.
- Chloe Kim – Olympic snowboarder
- Rashad Jennings – Former NFL player
Both of them know what it’s like to perform under pressure, but the castle is a whole new test. Sure, strength and athleticism can help during missions, but at the roundtable, the real challenge is figuring out if your biggest threat is the person sitting right next to you.
Content Creators and Comedians
And then there’s the group that’s here to shake things up. If anyone can bring some chaos and laughter to a castle full of paranoia, it’s these contestants.
- Casey Wilson – Actress and comedian
- Boman Martinez-Reid – Content creator
- Emira D’Spain – Content creator
- Iain Stirling – Comedian and Love Island narrator
These contestants know how to entertain, spot what people are really thinking, and keep everyone watching. Iain Stirling has spent years talking about other people’s wild reality TV choices, but now he has to make them. That’s a twist I can’t wait to see.
That’s what makes this cast so interesting to me. Some of them seem made for The Traitors, while others are total wild cards. The competition pros know strategy. The Housewives know how to handle drama. Actors know how to put on a show. Athletes know how to handle pressure. Comedians and creators know how to read a room. It’s anyone’s game.
But once Alan Cumming closes those castle doors, all bets are off. None of those skills guarantee anything.
Someone’s going to lie a little too well. Someone else will trust the wrong person and regret it. Someone will be sure they’ve solved the whole game, only to point the finger at an innocent Faithful. And somewhere in that castle, a Traitor will be fighting to keep a straight face.
Let the games and the chaos begin.
