Why did you want to participate in Miss UCF?

Freshman year I saw the flyer for the Scholarship Pageant and I was a contestant that year. I couldn’t fully commit and make every practice. I definitely wanted to do it though, and did it the following year without missing any practices!

What is next for you?

The next step is moving on to the Miss Florida Pageant June 16-21st, I’m so excited and I’m just preparing by keep doing what I have and envisioning I am and living a healthy life.

What is your platform?

EDGE, which stands for Early Development Global Education. It’s a nonprofit I work with early childhood education that implements environmental sustainability for the younger generation.  My goal is to start it here at UCF to have the preschool EDGE certified. Then I hope to have it implemented in Orange County. I also would like to go to the State capitol to lobby.

What UCF event for you most excited to make an appearance at?

Knight-Thon!  I’m also excited to be a team captain at the event.

What was the best moment off stage at Miss UCF?

The moment when we were all in a big group circle getting pumped up before the show. I loved all my contestants with me and we all still get together.

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy relaxing outside. I’m really outdoorsy. I like taking my camera and shooting outside. I also like cooking and running social media for the EDGE and updating my personal website.

What is your advice to students?

Figure out how to grow personally and professionally. Every set back is a set up for a comeback as I’ve heard. Just keep moving forward and pursue your dreams.
