Kylie Jenner Announces Birth of Baby Girl With Emotional Video

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Now it’s official: Kylie Jenner is a mom. For months we were hearing a lot about the supposed pregnancy of the youngest of the Kardashians, but today Kylie finally talked about it and reviled that she gave birth to a baby girl February 1st of this year. And her boyfriend, the rapper Travis Scott, also showed his excitement with the baby’s arrival through social media.

In a statement posted on her Instagram, Kylie explained why she kept her pregnancy as a secret for 9 months (although we all kinda imagined, we were not 100% sure). “My pregnancy was one [journey] I chose not to do in front of the world,” she said, “I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress-free, and healthy way I knew how […] I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.” We can completely understand her decision, right? Must be stressful to be a Kardashian/ Jenner.

Along with the explanation, she also posted a very emotional and touching video that served as a diary of her pregnancy. The short documentary shows her journey and also how supportive all her family and friends were. Although many people think that Kylie, that is 20 years old now, is too young to have a baby, everyone close to her sure knows that she will be an amazing mom.

In her statement, the youngest Jenner said: “Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life-changing experience I’ve had in my entire life,” and the video does an incredible job showing how happy and excited she was. Take a look:
