I’m not usually the type of person to believe that I’ll stumble across a holy grail product that I’ll never want to take out of my life, but boy have I been naive. One beautiful afternoon a few weeks ago, I took my usual stroll into Ulta to browse all of the pretty products. This day, however, was different. It was this day that I purchased the Foreo play plus. To be fair, I had only decided to be impulsive and buy this skin care device that I thought was a complete hoax because Ulta was still honoring its sale price from the previous week. I had also watched enough YouTube videos on it that I decided I should just see it for myself.
The first day I used it, I actually couldn’t believe how clean and smooth my face felt—it was a little suspicious. After a few days, I was noticing that the redness from a past bad breakout was finally starting to clear up and go away. After a week, I called my mom and told her I had found a magic product that was improving my whole life, literally. I had experienced a bad hormonal breakout a few months ago thanks to the terrible generic birth control pill I was on. It was slowly getting better, thanks to switching pills, but nothing helped it more than this little Foreo did. Even my friends know that I don’t go out without putting foundation on first. Now, I feel like I could truly skip that whole step in my makeup routine, which is a first for me.
You use the Foreo twice a day with whatever gentle cleanser you own. They don’t recommend you using it with anything exfoliating, because that’s exactly what the Foreo does on its own! I do use another exfoliating product twice a week after I use my Foreo, and nothing catastrophic has happened. Within just a few weeks, my skin went from having multiple issues that I couldn’t figure out how to fix, to being smooth and the clearest its ever been in my whole life. I truly can’t believe that I only happened upon this item because I felt impulsive for one day. I should’ve never doubted the hundreds of good reviews and YouTube videos on how amazing this tiny device is.
I honestly think that anyone and everyone, no matter their skin type, could benefit from using a Foreo. While yes, it is annoyingly pricey for a little silicone facial device, I truly believe that if you can get one, you should. They even have cheaper knock-off versions on Amazon that look exactly the same for way less. If it wasn’t for Ulta’s sale, my skin wouldn’t be as clear, even and smooth as it is now, so thank you Ulta!
