It’s the first couple weeks of the spring semester, and even though you’ve seen some familiar faces, starting new classes can feel like there are 50,000 NEW students you’ve never seen before. It can be intimidating to enter a classroom with new girls you don’t know, and a few new guys you notice that are rather good looking. You are now overwhelmed with a new class, wanting to make new friends, and possibly trying to snatch up a new boy toy.
GOOD NEWS! With a new semester comes new opportunities with those campus cuties, and with a few simple tips to keep in mind, you’ll be able to win him over in no time. Now, I know a lot of times we think, “I am not his type, he’ll never like me..” Well, Debbie, stop being a downer! It is a new year and it is time for a new you! If you are generally shy around guys, take this spring semester with aggression and go for that special guy.
Media always depicts that perfect love story we never imagine could come true, but ladies it can! As we flip through magazines, we’re told what to wear, how to look, what nail polish is in, and even what scents attract the best looking men. Without thinking twice, we jot down notes on how to land any guy, and make sure we book our appointments with our $40/hour trainers and tanning salons, but you don’t have to go to such lengths! Be yourself, and show him what you have to offer!
With these simple tips you’ll be able to be the girl of HIS dreams by just being you!
1. Show off your assets: Now I know what you’re thinking… but not those kind of assets. Show him how intelligent you are, don’t dumb yourself down. Tell him about your dream career and what you’re studying in school! Having a dream is attractive and shows you are a great catch!
2. Miss Independent: Ladies, we need to be sure of ourselves when we meet the guy of our dreams. Exuding your independence proves to him that you’re HIS dream girl and he is your arm candy just as much you are his, let’s face it we all know how guys hate clingy girls! Remember, we WANT men but we don’t NEED them.
3. Give him a run for his money: Don’t always let him think he wears the pants in the relationship. Show him up in some video games, sports, or show that patriarchal side of yourself to catch him off guard. It’s always fun to keep a guy on his toes! He will never know what is coming next, which makes you somewhat of a mystery girl to him.
4. Wit, wit, wit!: Have fun with one another. As they say, laughter is the best medicine! Laughing at life is a way to keep things comfortable and simple! Don’t overthink stuff, especially when you’re trying to land that man! Show him you can take a joke, and brush stuff off easily! And face it, a guy loves a girl with great humor!
