Nothing like a little leather to shake things up! Wearing leather can be difficult in the south, but freshman Cassie Lynn does it flawlessly with her rocker-chic look. Leather is making its mark in fashion this fall. It has been seen on the runway from designers such as Yves Saint Laurent and Givenchy. However, cool days in Florida are scarce, so wearing leather this early in the season is sure to cause discomfort. What’s a girl to do?

This collegiette™ went with a pair of leather shorts that are not only stylish, but cool as well. Her breathable, sheer blouse adds another element to her look, with a hard black collar that compliments the soft material of her shirt. Sheer tops have been a big trend lately, and they have been seen in many varieties. The mint green color of this particular blouse was big in fashion for the past spring and summer – ironically predicted by Lady Gaga in her “Marry the Night” video.

Any other shoe besides the combat boot would not have had the same effect with this outfit. This choice of shoe provides a punch that gives off that rocker look you are searching for. As Marylyn Monroe said, “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” Anytime you are feeling a little spunky, throw on some combat boots and you are 70 percent there.

Last but not least, the big black shades are not only good for protecting your eyes; they are fierce. Cassie said she gets her fashion inspiration from Gossip Girl, Teen Vogue, and Vogue. It looks like she has been taking notes. This look is not only trendy, but also practical for these hot Florida days.
