Ladies, no matter what hair type you have, no matter what length, and no matter what color we all #struggle with our manes daily. Us gals, wash, treat, color, brush, blow dry, curl, and straighten like there’s no tomorrow. These rituals wreak havoc on our hair, hence our struggle. Now, we’ve all seen the guys with the luscious locks that even the girls with prettiest hair can’t help but admire. These men are walking around with beautiful hair and making it look effortless. Whether they’re rocking flowing tendrils or the ever popular man-bun, they seem to embody the #longhairdontcare lifestyle. So my question: Is it really effortless for guys or do they face the same hair struggles us girls face? I’ve decided to write an open letter to all the fellas out there with locks that we love.
Dear Guys with Luscious Locks,
Your hair is so fab we have a few questions:
Do you spend a little longer than you should trying to perfect the perfect sloppy bun?
Do you often wonder where all your hair ties went? Did you lose them? Did you let someone borrow them and then never get it back? Or did they all just get up and run away?
Do you even use bobby pins? Or care about fly-aways?
Do you contemplate over using a comb vs. a brush to reduce breakage?
Do you constantly switch up your hair care routine? Do you stick to the classic shampoo and conditioner? Maybe try a 2-in1? Or do you get a little wild and ditch the poo entirely and go for a cleansing condition?
Do you get bored with your hair every once and a while? Do you ask yourself “to cut or not to cut?” Then instantly regret if you choose to cut it?
And please let us know how do you weigh in on the whole washing with cold water vs. hot water debate?
Do you like trying new hair styles like ponytails and braids?
Maybe you don’t have any of these struggles and I guess that’s okay. Because I bet if you did, you wouldn’t wear your hair long and then us girls wouldn’t have any man-bun-and beard eye candy to gush over.
