Although the leaves aren’t changing, and the sun is shining more than ever here in Florida, there are lots of spooky activities to participate in to get into the fall spirit! Below is a list of a few fun fall activities to do with friends!

Pumpkin Head Photoshoot

This season, photoshoots with pumpkins have been a prominent staple on everyone’s fall bucket lists.  A recent trend has been carving funky faces into them and using them as a mask.

Gather some friends and go to a local pumpkin patch. Make a day out of carving and decorating, and then travel the city for spooky locations to take pictures! This is a fun fall experience that creates lasting pictures and laughs.

Fall Potluck Brunch

A potluck-style brunch is a perfect way to dabble with new recipes and spend time with friends. Charcuterie boards have been the rage for the past two years, however, adding things like pumpkin seeds, fig jam and candy corn can transform a simple board into a full fall experience. Gathering with loved ones and feasting on different treats is one of the best ways to bond and enjoy amazing food!

Character Dress Up Party

Halloween parties are a common festivity that people participate in during October. However, spicing it up by making it a “character dress up only” party from movies or TV shows can put a fun twist on a classic spooky bash. A prize for best dressed can push people to go above and beyond as they imitate classic characters!

Universal Studios is one of Orlando’s main attractions, and one of the most popular theme parks in the world. During the fall season, it is home to one of the best horror attractions in the state of Florida: Halloween Horror Nights! From the beginning of September until Halloween night, thousands go to Universal after hours and walk around the park while scare actors jump out at them. You are also able to walk through haunted houses that are themed after popular horror movies, as well as some from Universal’s twisted imagination. A full guide on how to purchase tickets, dates and houses can be found here.

Disney’s Magic Kingdom Boo Bash

Another world-class theme park, Disney’s Magic Kingdom adorns the park with spooky fall decorations, and hosts their after-hours event, Boo Bash! This is a fun Halloween party for Magic Kingdom guests to participate in after hours — there’s a DJ in front of the castle, all the rides are open, and there are locations around the park for trick-or-treating! Just like any Halloween party, people love to wear costumes to Boo Bash, which adds to the magic! For more information on Boo Bash, you can check it out here.

Hagerty Farms

Hagerty Farms is a pumpkin patch located in Oviedo, Florida. Going to a pumpkin patch will get you in the fall spirit, and it’s a nice afternoon out with friends! This is a great place to take cute photos with friends and pick a pumpkin to take home. Hagerty Farms also has a spider maze: a fun walk-through experience with spooky decorations, such as spider cut-outs and fake cobwebs. To get more information on Hagerty Farms, check out their website here.

All in all, there are many activities to participate in to make Florida feel more like fall. Although we have palm trees in place of changing leaves, and the weather barely drops a few degrees, these interactive events can get you into the spooky spirit!
