Dear Scott Frost, Please Don’t Leave UCF

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Dear Scott Frost,

Saturday is a big decision day for you. You can continue to create magic at the University of Central Florida, or go back home to Nebraska. Just remember though, home is not where you are from, but it is where the heart is.

You have taken a loser team, a team that UCF students did not care for and were even ashamed of two years ago, to something above and beyond the expectations of UCF students. You have truly made this year the most memorable for us, and we are so grateful for your hard work that you have dedicated to our team. Despite our official rankings, we deserve to be much higher and we all know that and it is all because of you and our amazing players.

For once UCF does not have to feel like the loser school in Florida. People always show off that they are a Florida Gator or Florida State Seminole and they always have way more college merchandise than UCF. Now UCF students can call them the losers, and we have never felt so proud to go to such an awesome school with an incredible football team. If we continue to win and create more magic together, I can maybe find more UCF merchandise at my local Target.

If you stayed we could have more amazing years together. You could create a team that could be known as one of the best teams in the nation if you stayed a little while longer. We can have more magical years together so that UCF students to come never have to deal with a 0-12 year. We can be a team that plays in a better conference, better bowl games, and be known as one of the best college football teams in the nation.

UCF is Orlando’s hometown team. You are adding to the magnificence of Orlando. We have Disney World, Universal, Seaworld, and so many other beautiful attractions, and now UCF football is a tourist attraction for people because of how amazing we are doing.

Also, you just had your baby, and you must be so excited to start your family. Your child was so lucky to be born in the best city in the United States! Your son will have easy access to Disney World, Universal, the beach and so many amazing places in Orlando, versus in Nebraska you have some zoos and national parks, which is cool and all but does not beat Disney World.

Money may be an issue for you, and maybe you are looking for somewhere that can give you more money, and while we are trying on our best to give that to you, we have unlimited love for you. Here is a little proof of that:

If you do decide to go, we will respect your decision (maybe not internally though). We will be absolutely heartbroken, but we understand you want to go back home to bigger and better things. If you do or do not go, we all want to say thank you for the most amazing year in UCF football history, and for making it a year for the books. We will miss you dearly if you go, let’s end with a bang at this conference game, and do not forget UCF will always be your family and we always charge on!

With lots of love,

UCF
