When and how did you get involved with Boohoo?
I got involved with Her Campus last year and at the beginning of this semester I visited our website to see if anything new was posted. I saw the post about boohoo.com coming to fifteen U.S. campuses. One public relations/event and one social media manager would be chosen to take charge of Boohoo at their campus. A few weeks later I was notified that I was chosen to be the public relations/event manager and was beyond thrilled! I am beyond honored to be a brand ambassador for Boohoo at our amazing university. I have learned so much about public relations, events, and the incredible brand of Boohoo.
Tell us a little about Boohoo UCF
Boohoo.com is an international e-tailer (only sold online) and has quickly evolved into a global fashion leader of its generation. The UCF Boohoo Style Squad is made up of Corine Faehn, the social media manager, and myself. We control all posts on social media (Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook) and will be hosting an event this November on campus to inform and give away Boohoo merchandise! Boohoo combines cutting-edge design with an affordable price tag. There are up to 100 pieces added to the site daily, as well as a new collection each week. It is your one stop shop for all wardrobe needs.
Describe yourself in three words.
Free-spirited, dependable, kind. Boohoo’s philosophy is, “we do not take fashion or life too seriously”, and I find it fitting to my personality.
Any advice for underclassmen who want to get involved?
Get involved in anything you think you might have a slight interest in! I hate to sound like a broken record, but getting involved is the greatest thing you can do while at a university. You are given the opportunity to learn, meet people, and add to your resume. UCF has a vast list of clubs and organizations to join, so go out there and find your niche.
