Best Memes from the Third, Last and “Bigly-est” Presidential Debate

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

We have luckily reached the end of the presidential debates. Each one has tried our patience and wine/beer supplies and now we can breathe and prepare ourselves to make a huge decision come November 8th. As a humorous way to the process this last debate, I have compiled a list of the best and bigly-est memes for your enjoyment. All my nasty women and bad hombres get ready to laugh because while our presidential candidates may not have it all together, their humor is spot on. #maketheinternetgreatagain

1. Trump is hella salty he didn’t win an Emmy.

Clinton: “There was even a time when he didn’t get an Emmy for his TV program three years in a row and he started tweeting that the Emmys were rigged against him.”

Trump: “I should have gotten it.”

Can you all see his saltiness from a mile away? I sure can. Why that loss still stings him beats me. Yet, Mr. Trump has much bigger fish to fry now (i.e. the presidential election, but he is too busy crying over the fact that he didn’t get an Emmy to get his head in the game #HSM). What is he going to do if he doesn’t win the election? Probably proclaim that it was rigged like everything else that doesn’t come out his way. I mean he did say himself that we will be kept in suspense until that moment arrives, which Clinton intelligently responded against his ignorance.

I’m not going to sit here and lie that I didn’t bust out laughing when I heard him say that but, we have to remember that this is a presidential debate with a general election closely approaching. Trump needs to take moments, like a debate, seriously to properly explain his stances and views in a clear, concrete manner. Not make a joke out of himself. These are not moments to say ridiculous comments like this. It just shows his immaturity. But it makes for great memes. #Priorities

2. Nasty women and bad hombres.

Our next meme combines two of the best moments from the debate, again brought to you again by our Republican presidential candidate, Mr. Trump.

Trump: “Once the border is secured, at a later date, we’ll make a determination as to the rest. But we have some bad hombres here, and we’re going to get them out.”

Trump: “Such a nasty woman.” (towards Clinton)

Why he felt compelled to utter these words on nation TV and still expect us to respect him beats me. But you have to admit this man has comedic timing. Entertainment is his calling, not politics. Maybe Trump should stick to what he knows best, does not include politics and respecting women. Yet the magic of this meme doesn’t lie in Trump but in the genius mind who took Trumps quotes and made them into bathroom signs in Trump Tower. I could honestly feel the world returning to normal with this meme. This election is disrupting the balance of this country, but thank god for memes for restoring it!

3. The Muppets make a cameo.

Hillary: “Well, that’s because he’d [Putin] rather have a puppet as president of the United States.”

This meme is in reference to Clinton responds to Trump’s charge that Putin has “no respect” for her. Clinton is making a point that Putin would prefer Trump in the oval office because it would be much easier for him (Putin) to control him than Clinton. Now that you have context, let’s talk about this glorious meme. I love a good reference to Kermit the Frog and sipping tea. Merging that with quotes from the election is genius and we have Nick to thank for that. I am sure Kermit is somewhere sipping his tea and trying to ignore the sadness of being compared to Trump, even in the most indirect manner. #JusticeforPuppets

4. Hillary Clinton reps Death Row.

This meme hits my hood roots (if I had them lol). The resemblance of Clinton’s outfits to the covers outfits on these Death Row albums is too much for me and NetflixNextDoor to bear. Is Clinton trying to send a message through her clothing choices? Is she about to drop a hip-hop/rap album? That would be pretty dope. I might buy it. Her street cred would definitely go up and that would massively boost her poll numbers. Someone should contact her campaign manager ASAP and make this happen. Heck, she already dressing for the part.

Honorable Mention:

If you need a third choice on the election ballot come November 8th, let me introduce you to (Mr./Mrs.?) Clump. HE/she/it is quite the sight but they may be the answer to our prayers… or not. Got to keep a closer eye on this one here. I don’t know if this option is any better than its “parents” but all I got to say is the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. *drops mic and walks away*
