All the Details of the Shane Dawson x Jeffree Star Collection

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Over the past two episodes of “The Beautiful World of Jeffree Star,” there has been a lot of information released about the upcoming collaboration between Jeffree Star Cosmetics and Shane Dawson.

Released on October 11, “The Dangerous World of Jeffree Star” delved into the mass number of shades that will be launched in the upcoming eyeshadow palette:

After showing off the various shades, they began to lay out the palette arrangement and discuss what the design of the palette was going to be. With both a full-size and a mini palette to be created, they had a lot to discuss in terms of which shades went where and what the designs of each were going to look like. There are also six liquid lipsticks and one clear gloss being created for this collection.

Between the two episodes, Shane launched his new merch store. This merch store is in collaboration with Killer Merch, which is Jeffree’s brand. This collaboration was long-awaited, and definitely did not disappoint. For the first time in Shane’s YouTube career, he sold out of all his merch—and he did so in less than an hour.

On October 18, Shane published “The $20 Million Dollar Deal with Jeffree Star.” In this episode, Shane and Jeffree sat down to discuss how many items need to be created, and they also had a meeting with Morphe to discuss if they wanted to be involved in the launch of the collection. By the end of the episode, it was announced that the collection is to be released on November 1 at 1:00 p.m. EST. This was quite a surprise as it is relatively soon, and it was an even a bigger surprise when Jeffree announced that there would be no Jeffree Star Cosmetics Holiday collection, as Shane deserved the spotlight during that time.

Some people were disappointed that they were doing an exclusive launch with Morphe, but after the video launched, Jeffree uploaded this tweet:

This tweet hinted that we may see this collection at other retailers such as Beautylish!

With four videos down, there are still five left to go during this series. And with the launch coming so soon, it’ll be exciting to see what comes next!
