Country music fans, rejoice! Cross it off your calendars and thrown on those cowboy boots because the ACM Music Awards have arrived! For all of you southern bells out there, I have no doubt you have your own top picks for the most gorgeous gowns of the night. But just incased you missed it, here is a quick recap of this years best dressed county starlets!
1. Taylor Swift
Crop tops for the win! This year Taylor Swift ditched her long locks and sparkly gowns and decided to vamp up her style for a more daring look. Swift bares her slim midriff, sports a sexy slit and wears the only thing left about classic Taylor on her lips, that signature red lipstick.
2. Carrie Underwood
Honestly, can she do no wrong? Channeling her inner 1920’s flapper but still embracing that perfect country flair, she effortlessly lights up this year’s red carpet in a stunning platinum dress. She not only gives off the illusion of dripping in diamonds but she actually is. I mean, have you looked at her wrists?!
3. Shakira
So, am I the only one who’s been jealous of Shakira’s body since the “Hips Don’t Lie” video? Surely I can’t be and this year, The Voice coach clearly thought she should flaunt it some more. Shakira donned a daring emerald cut out gown with flowing blonde hair and topped it all off with the decision to go commando. If she’s not the closest thing I’ve seen to a mermaid, then I don’t know what is.
4. Miranda Lambert
Va-Va Voom! Lambert’s struts her all new makeover in a champagne studded gown. Hugging her curves in all the right places, her soft waves, and minimal accessories make a simple yet powerful statement about this starlet’s newfound confidence and after setting the record for being the first to win Female Vocalist of the Year 5 years in a row, how could she not be?!
5. Kellie Pickler
Kellie’s Dancing with the Stars body is beautifully accentuated in a lovely lilac gown. She pares one of spring’s go-to colors with some serious bling and completes the bell of the ball look with a soft blonde bob.
6. Jamie Lynn Spears
Little Spears debuts her red carpet appearance for the first time since tying the knot in one of my favorite looks of the night. She looks fresh, happy, and has an all over glow in a sequined pattern shift dress. Her heels add a perfect pop of color, clearly embracing the spring season even on the red carpet. Personally, I would love to have this hanging in my closet for a beautiful Sunday but considering she’s still a very young mom, this short number fits gorgeously at this years ACM Awards.
