Thinking about staying in or traveling to Orlando during spring break? If so, let me be your Central Florida tour guide for a moment and give you eight fun, inexpensive (cause let’s be honest, we’re all on a budget here), and memorable spots you need to visit this break.

1. lake eola park

Located in Downtown Orlando, Lake Eola is a beautiful place to sightsee, feed swans, or even just stroll. Local restaurants surround the lake, and you can even rent swan-shaped paddle boats for $15. I’ve seen the cutest baby ducklings, swans, and geese just walking around, and the scenery looks gorgeous at sunset. Dress up in your best Instagram-worthy outfit and destress here!

2. the keg social

Located at Waterford Lakes and just fifteen minutes away from UCF’s main campus, The Keg Social literally has something for everyone. Activities like bowling, ax-throwing, ping-pong, beer pong, private karaoke rooms, and more, are available to customers and accompanied with weekly deals and good food. If you’re looking for somewhere to have a good time, I would definitely recommend you start here.

3. disney springs

Okay, so this one made the list because who doesn’t love Disney Springs? With free admission and free parking, a trip to Disney Springs is perfect if you’re looking for a chill spot. Get your Mickey ears and check out the LEGO Store, UNIQLO, World of Disney, and more. Even if you don’t feel like shopping, there’s over 60 dining services, and there’s always plays or shows scheduled.

4. winter park’s chain of lakes

You are missing OUT if you don’t check this out at some point in your life. Also located in Downtown Orlando and right next to Rollins College, Winter Park’s Chain of Lakes includes six connected lakes that boaters and paddlers are free to explore. The paddling journey over canals and beneath massive cypress trees is gorgeous, and if you’re an outdoorsy kind of girl, this is the perfect spring break spot for you.

5. harry p. leu botanical gardens

Another great spot for you to check out if you’re an outdoorsy kind of girl is the Harry P. Leu Botanical Gardens. Equipped with over 50 acres of landscape, this garden has almost every flower you could think of and is so gorgeous that people frequently host weddings there. I went once, and I could see why — there’s about a million good photo spots, and their flower collections will literally make you feel like you’ve arrived in heaven. The garden is self-guided, but you can pay for a tour guide if you want!

6. cocoa beach

Spring break would not be spring break without the beach. No explanation necessary. Cocoa Beach is about an hour away from Orlando but is so worth the road trip. Make the trip with your girlfriends and tan to your heart’s content.

7. the dolly llama

I had to put a food stop on this list. The Dolly Llama is a brand-new addition to Winter Garden, and their whole thing is waffles and ice cream. I repeat: WAFFLES AND ICE CREAM. They have a wide assortment of flavors, milkshakes, and toppings, and are quickly rising in popularity.

8. wonderworks

A true tourist attraction, you will never forget the first time you visit WonderWorks. The building is “upside-down,” and the inside is just as wacky as the outside. You will probably have the most fun here, and for good reason, too. Think science museum, but also amusement park, but also laser tag, indoor ropes course, and art, and you’ve got WonderWorks in mind. Finish spring break in the best way possible!

Orlando has something for everyone; this spring break, try branching out and trying something new with friends!
