The 5 Best Fall Picture Spots Near UCF

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

Fall is upon us. What does that mean (except slightly cooler weather and pumpkin spice lattes)? Endless cute sweater photos with your boyfriend (or in my case, friends). Here are five of the best photoshoot spots near UCF; go get those pictures, ladies!

Painted Oaks Academy

Painted Oaks Academy is a local privately-owned farm and home to the most iconic UCF mascot, Knugget. It boasts a sizable pumpkin patch and a corn maze from October 3rd to 31st. Plan your visit soon, as you’ll need to buy a ticket for the day and time of your photoshoot. You’re sure to fall for the inviting atmosphere at this rustic ranch.

Southern Hill Farms

Is there a better photoshoot spot than a sunflower field? Southern Hill Farms provides that and more on their family-owned estate. Located in Clermont about 40 minutes from UCF, this adorable spot will be open for photoshoots, pumpkin purchasing, and sunflower snipping from September 26th through November 8th. Make sure to buy tickets for your desired day and time slot in advance, as they are adhering to social distancing guidelines and limiting capacity.

The Wellborn

If you’re looking for a more unconventional autumn backdrop, The Wellborn might be the right vibe for you. A beautiful house bar situated in Downtown Orlando, The Wellborn has unique photo spots both indoors and outdoors. Check out the ball filled bathtub upstairs for a quirky and cool Instagram post, or explore the outdoor patio for a variety of backdrops.

Winter Park

If you go to UCF and haven’t been to Winter Park yet, you’re missing out. This beautiful downtown area is home to Rollins College, a cute rose garden, cobblestone streets and a ton of charm. If you stroll down Park Avenue, you’ll find photogenic walls and fun staircases galore. There are multiple free parking lots in the area, so get those poses ready!

Harry P. Leu Gardens

Orlando hosts many stunning gardens, but Harry P. Leu Gardens are some of the most aesthetically pleasing. Just 25 minutes from UCF, you’ll find 50 acres of plant paradise and plenty of great picture opportunities. The grounds are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, and adult admission is $10. As a bonus, you can look for the 20 whimsical fairy doors hidden in different trees around the property.

The coronavirus has hindered a lot of fall plans, but your fall photoshoots can still go on. Stay safe, and stay stunning.
