Happy fall, collegiettes! Now that summer has come and gone, we can officially mourn the loss of bathing suits and beach towels and usher in scarves and pumpkin spice everything. Hopefully with the passing of seasons we’ll also see an improvement in footwear. Fall is truly a magical time for shoes, with weather too cold for people to think flip flops are an acceptable life decision but not so cold that Ugg season has stricken college campuses everywhere.

At 2013 Fashion Week we saw a ton of shoe trends new and old, and while college girls may not be able to splurge on $1,200 boots, we did find some affordable options from ASOS that the average fashionista can budget into her wardrobe this season.

1. Lots of Loaf

While adorable, these Viktor & Rolf’s Low-Heeled Loafers might break the bank before we can wear them out. These ballet flats maintain the same loafer-like structure but for less than $40 a pair.

2. Fully Committed to Sparkle Motion

These Thakoon Pilgrim Pumps are so pretty my heart hurts just imagining how much they cost. So shiny! Thankfully, these pointed heels can satifsy your sparkle craving but for less than $75 a pop.

3. Spotted!

While it may seem outdated, Fashion Week saw a huge resurgence of leopard print, especially in the shoe department. DKNY’s Lace-Up Leopard Heels are adorable, but you can get the same urban cat vibe from a pair of these sneakers, for only about $53.

4. Knees Over Head

Knee high socks took the internet by storm this time last year, and it seems this season boots are following in all the knee high glory. These H&M Tough Over-The-Knee boots rocked the runways, but don’t let the department store name fool you, they’ll still cost a pretty penny. Thankfully these leather knee highs have all the same style for less than $100.

5. Maroon (Get It?)

Finally, this last trend was less of a specific shoe and more of an overall color. Maroon was really hot this season, as seen in this collection of Belstaff’s Ankle Booties and Boots. Capture the same look with these heeled ankle boots, which will only cost you just over $50.

The best part about all of this? College students can get any of these shoes with a 10% discount on ASOS.com! Make sure to look out for more ASOS-related articles in upcoming weeks, as UCF is lucky enough to have three ASOS campus representatives this year!
